THE FINAL DAY OF OUR CAMPING TRIP HAS FINALLY COME today we’ll be heading back home and saying goodbye to Loji nenek. Time flies so fast, I enjoyed it so much I didn’t feel the end would come this soon- but it’s not time to be sad about it now! Before going back penggalang oase as well as the other scout communities will be going on a hiking trip in Salak Mountain, to the destination which is Curug cibadak
We woke up the same time as we did yesterday and the cold weather was the same as ever! Except I felt like freezing way more than yesterday XD oh yeah! And a lot of things actually happened yesterday during break time that I didn’t tell in the last article- XD I’ll just share it here….
Because of the very hot weather in the afternoon I got many sunburns all around my face and arm- XD This is why I should’ve wore long sleeves instead! The storage tent for our group uhh.. Also got attacked by an army of big ants because someone apparently forgot to throw away their empty box of of borwnies ._. we were forced to take down the tent and move our bags and stuff inside the sleeping tent. It wasn’t so bad though, since all my stuff are scattered around the tent making it hard to find we took everything out and I finally found my lost scout pants XD
Alright back to this article! We played a game of soccer but more of our version of it before having breakfast. I took another shower since I wanted to feel fresh when going on this hike! We had fried rice and eggs for breakfast, immediately went back to the camping site and prepared the stuff we needed to bring for the hike! Everyone’s all set and ready to go!
Let’s Go hiking!
We started walking to the mountain in a line according to our groups around 7:30 am led by a new mentor! My group was supposed to be in front but because Syifa said she wasn’t comfortable with the shoe sandal she’s wearing she had to go back to her tent and take her better shoes, so the other groups went ahead of us. We waited but in the end she decided to wear the same shoe sandal since she couldn’t find XD oh c’mon!
The sun was shining bright but it wasn’t too hot for me either so that’s good! I walked in front with Anja ahead of me while the others are behind me, I kept looking back just in case to keep my friends in sight so we wouldn’t be seperated we walked and walked and walked even more until the road started to get more uphill.
Kak Sari accompanied me in the front until we finally reached an entrance to a huge field! There we saw a couple of our friends Tata, Katya and Ratri. The road was pretty muddy and rocky we were walking in the edge as well, but despite that the view was really pretty and nice!
We saw a couple of houses as we hiked further, then an amazing river sight as well as huge birch trees when we entered a camping site on top of the hill I started to get more and more seperated with my group as I didn’t notice- but we met again once we took a couple of breaks during the journey
Everyone was starting to get really tired, I was sweating so hard it’s like raining in my body XD Everytime I hear a stream of water I thought we were already getting closer! But it turns out it’s still couple kilometers away- we passed through so many rocks and up hills even crossed though a stiff bridge, but finally after a long journey of hiking we made it to our destination!
“Woaahhh! Is this even real?” I was absolutely astound by the view in the distance, my tired feelings suddenly dissapeared and I rushed to see the amazing Waterfall. It turns out everyone has already gathered having fun, playing around the waterfall and even swimming! Without a second thought I took off my shoes and immediately joined the fun as well! I dipped my feet inside the water and it was really cold but refreshing as well! They said that we could even drink the water so I gave it a try XD it tasted pretty salty to be honest lol-
This was by far the best activity from the camping trip in my opinion! Well aside from the bonfire ;^) It took a lot of hard work to finally make it up here and it was totally worth it after being around the waterfalls. It’s also the longest mountain hike I’ve ever had XD
Too bad we weren’t able to spend as much time as I expected 😦 my group name was called and we had to leave first… I took another glance at the waterfall before leaving the beautiful site, I put on my shoes on and joined the others as we left Curug Cibadak.
Heading back down!
Going back felt much faster than when we hiked! But it still made my toes feel like it was gonna break– heh X3 without even noticing we were already back at the camping site on top of the hill. I head back down with Zalika and one of our mentors, the others were already way ahead of us haha- as we made it everyone went on their seperate ways back to our camping ground since some of us wanted to explore around the place first. In our way back we went through the green bridge and even got to see eagles! There were 2 inside the cage but they didn’t move very much.
We went back to the camping ground not on the same road as we did when we left to Curug cibadak instead this one was quite a longer one. I didn’t feel so tiring after joking around with Syifa 😀
Once we got back, everyone was called to come to the aula for the closing ceremony of Kemping ceria. I was excited to go home but then felt a bit sad because of how everything just happened so fast, it made me feel I like I just wanted to stay here a bit longer >u< My friends called me to speak in front about the most memorable things during camping but there sure were alot! After the closing ceremony was finished we shaked hands and said goodbye to our scout friends from other communities, hope I’ll be able to them again :’)
Everyone got their stuff and bags ready and is all set to go home! But first, let’s take our last pictures on the camping site.
It was starting to rain so we all rushed to the Tronton truck as fast as we could and departed from Loji Nenek. Kak Putri later informed that my Mom and Dad were already waiting for me in Kalimalang the same place when we left to Loji nenek. I couldn’t wait to see them! After about 2 and half hour drive we all made it to kalimalang safe and sound ending our camping trip journey.
WOOOO! SO THAT’S ABOUT IT EVERYONE 😀 HONESTLY THERE WERE SOME OTHER EXCITING THINGS I WANTED TO SHARE BUT BECAUSE I IT WOULD BE TO LONG I JUST SKIPPED AND GO STRAIGHT TO ENDING- THIS HAS BEEN MY HUGE COMEBACK TO KLUB OASE AFTER SO MANY YEARS, I’M SO GLAD I GET TO EXPERIENCE IT WITH AN AWESOME CAMPING TRIP LIKE THIS! I MET MANY OF MY OLD FRIENDS AS WELL AS MAKING NEW ONES SO THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS TRIP FUN TO MY FRIENDS AND ALL THE MENTORS
